11 Years Swimming
Together
The swim program at Fish Links has been
designed through many years of research and experience. Every small business has
to start somewhere and through the years we have worked hard to secure a
permanent pool for our swim school to run year round. The ultimate goal is to
one day build our own pool.
Term 2 2008 we lost our lease at
Moomba Park Primary School so we are temporarily at Vaucluse
Physiotherapy Pool in Brunswick. Hopefully we will secure a bigger
more permanent venue by 2009.
Before settling at Moomba in 2002 we originally opened in 1997 at
Vaucluse Hospital pool in Brunswick then in 1999 moved to the larger
Michael Klim Swim Centre. Mid 2000 we then moved to Dorset Private
hospital pool in Pascoe Vale and finally in 2002 we stumbled across
Moomba Park Primary School and had never looked back.
The pool itself is Salt Chlorinated and maintained at a comfy 33 – 34oC
with the air temperature also ‘comfortable’ for both those in and out of
the water.
Many families have passed through
our doors to learn to swim over the 11 years, the following families
still continue with us - Monaghan Family, Lunardi Family, Marincic
Family, Genobile Family these families all currently still have children
swimming with our swim school today.
Since starting the swim school it
was originally a joint venture between my husband Daniel and myself
Katie Clarke,
Daniel has since changed jobs and is busy working full time so the swim school administration is maintained
and run solely by me (Katie). We are lucky enough however to have a strong staff network at the pool
including Jan, Christine Nedas, Alison Moxon, Greg White, Kate Moxon and Stephanie Elder.
We are members of Swim Australia and are proud to be one of their original founding members.
We look forward to you and your family joining us for the future - inquiry page |
